With the intention of redefining the wedding day experience for couples in Cape Breton, I founded J. Marie Weddings in 2013.
Since then, my team and I have been planning and coordinating weddings of all sizes throughout beautiful Cape Breton.
Every couple we work with is paired with an experienced, professional planner who is fully trained in the J. Marie Weddings planning process — a thoughtful, proven approach designed to guide you seamlessly from your initial ideas to a beautifully executed celebration.

I'm Jenna, the Owner and Lead Planner of J. Marie. I feel so fortunate to do what I love right here in beautiful Cape Breton.
For more than thirteen years, I’ve poured my passion into my work as a Certified Wedding Planner and Designer. And, recently, I’ve been fortunate to expand J. Marie to include the incredible team you’ll meet below.
At J. Marie Weddings, our goal is simple — to bring your vision to life through a planning experience that’s as exciting and enjoyable as the day itself.
We approach every wedding with knowledge, experience, and a positive attitude, ensuring you can be fully present as every moment unfolds — both the carefully planned and the joyfully unexpected.
Over the years, we’ve been given many opportunities within the Cape Breton wedding community, but what we value most are the relationships we’ve built with our couples, their families, and our amazing local vendors and venues.

Words of Thanks
Looking back at our wedding day this past Summer, there's one thing I know for sure that I wouldn't change, and that was having Jenna and her team. When we started to plan there were only a few things that I knew I 100% needed, and Jenna was one of them. As soon as she was booked, a weight lifted off my shoulders. There was so much I didn't know about throwing a wedding, especially one that was mainly DIY, but I knew that anything I didn't think of, she would. She literally does think of everything! And she did that and more. If you're not really sure what Jenna and her team do on your big day, the answer is they take care of everything. She approaches every situation with so much confidence and professionalism. From detailed lists, right down to moral support, not just for us, but for our families as well. Just like the Wizard of Oz, Jenna and her team are the magic behind the curtain. They are what kept the day worry free, and running smoothly.
