Job Title: Lead Wedding Coordinator
Job Type: Seasonal (April – October 2023)

 

Job Description:

J. Marie Weddings is a full-service wedding planning and design boutique and we are looking for a passionate, reliable person to join our growing team! Please note that this position is seasonal and is paid per event. You will receive your wedding dates upon completion of your formal training and will have the option to say yes or no to any new inquiries that are received as the season progresses.

 

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail

• Experience in wedding or event management

• Experience with on-site coordination and execution of weddings or events

• Strong organizational skills

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Reliable

• Can-do attitude with a strong ability to think on your feet

 

*WPICC Certified or education in event management is considered an asset but is not required as there will be training opportunities available for you.

Responsibilities:

• Work with couples 3 months prior to their wedding to finalize details, manage vendor contracts and build their day-of wedding itinerary.

• Oversee the execution and direction of several weddings, from the wedding rehearsal to ceremony through reception start.

• Set up small décor items such as guestbook, menus, and seating plan etc..

 

You MUST:

• Be available for specific dates (select Fridays or Saturdays) with some weekday evening availability for 1 hour wedding rehearsals.

• Have your own reliable transportation

 

Compensation:

• Pay to be determined upon hiring and will reflect experience.

• Travel costs will be reimbursed.

 

Schedule:

• The number of contracts you will oversee will vary and each contract is 3 months.

• On the day of the wedding you'll work 6–8 hour shifts depending on the location of the wedding

• Select Fridays or Saturdays from May - October
